About us

Our Vision

INcontext International serves the Body of Christ by providing a Christian perspective on global news to encourage strategic mission involvement.

Our Mission Statement

Slide1

INvestigate global news and trends for a comprehensive picture of the world

INterpret news and geopolitical trends from a Christian perspective

INform the church through various online resources and presentations

INvolve the church through prayer, and projects in strategic nations and regions

Since global news is mostly communicated through secular media, many Christians fail to see how God is involved in global events. By developing a Christian perspective on these events, Christians become more aware of the global Body of Christ and see how the Lord is constantly at work throughout the world, orchestrating strategic opportunities for the expansion of His Kingdom.

Our hope is that the Church will be excited about what the Lord is doing around the world and that the excitement will lead to greater involvement in missions.

What we believe

Meet Our Team

Hello, my name is Pieter Potgieter and I am the Interim Director of INcontext International. I was born and raised in Namibia and am the proud father of three children: Harmen, Anya and Simón.
My journey with INcontext began in 2018 when I joined an outreach to Lebanon, and in January 2025 I became a board member.
I currently serve as the Interim Director of INcontext, overseeing the transition of operations and leadership responsibilities.
Beyond my work, I enjoy travelling, playing tennis and watching sports – especially rugby.

“Hello, my name is Sharon and I am married to my husband, Zaine. We are from Durban and have lived in the Western Cape since June 2021. I joined INcontext in September 2021 and have loved every minute of working for the ministry. I am the head of the Communications Department and Office Administrator. When I am not working, I enjoy relaxing and watching a TV series with my family while enjoying an iced coffee, crocheting, as well as cooking good food.”

“My name is Rika Sourial, I’m married to Ihab, who is in ministry serving the homeless in our community.  I got involved with INcontext in 2011 as a missionary in the field and joined the team full time in 2024 as an administrative assistant. When I’m not working I love to do art and crafts, read books, go exploring, serve others and love on our neighbours.”

“Hi, my name is Lauren! I’m from the picturesque valley of Worcester, where my husband, Dimitri and I currently live. I officially joined the INcontext team in January 2025, and it has been both a fulfilling journey and a privilege to be part of such a unique group. My role involves communications, where I focus on editing and assisting with creating content, managing social media, and coordinating travel logistics. Outside of work, I love spending time with family and friends, experimenting in the kitchen, watching movies and series, and indulging in arts and crafts.”
