Nearly 2,000 years have passed since Jesus ascended into heaven and entrusted us with His final words to the Church—“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19-20). This Great Commission is not just a suggestion; it is the Church’s ongoing mission and highest calling. While much has been accomplished—millions have heard the gospel, Scripture is spreading, and the Christian presence is global—the task is not yet complete. Over 7,000 people groups remain unreached, and nearly 2,000 languages still lack a full Bible translation.
We are living in a crucial moment in history. Now is the time to lay aside distractions, preferences, and personal comfort to fully engage in the mission Jesus gave us. The call is clear: pray for the unreached and for those faithfully serving among them; give sacrificially to fuel kingdom work; go—whether short-term or long-term—and be willing to be sent; and support and send indigenous leaders and cross-cultural workers already on the frontlines.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few…” (Luke 10:2). Let us not delay. The world is waiting—and the Church must be about the Father’s business.
